Dear Parents and Carers
What a fabulous week we have had! Activities Week has been a great success with KS3 students engaging in a host of different activities and workshops throughout the week. Thank you to all our staff who have given up their time to make these sessions possible and to our admin team for their superb organisation!
On Monday, we waved goodbye to our Y7 residential group, as they set off to Lincoln for 3 days. They have had a fantastic time, taking part in canoeing, abseiling, laser tag, puzzle solving and much more! Rumour has it there was even a silent disco! They were back in school on Thursday and took part in a film making workshop.
Year 8 have had a busy week, with a rocket workshop on Monday, a trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park on Tuesday, an outdoor activities day with the Hollowford centre on Wednesday and an Enterprise workshop on Thursday. Years 7 and 8 completed their sponsored walk up Losehill on Friday in perfect walking temperatures.
Year 9 enjoyed glorious weather for their sponsored walk on Monday. Tuesday saw them taking part in a British values workshop, before they headed off on residential on Wednesday for the rest of the week. As I write, they are on their way back to school having had a fabulous time.
Y10 students have been experiencing the world of work this week. We hope their placements gave them a good insight into working life.
All students should be in school as normal on Monday – we will be back to normal timetable on Week B.
We hope you all have a restful weekend!
