A whole lot of adventure for all the family at HVAFF this year
Go straight to buying tickets.
The Hope Valley Adventure Film Festival is nearly upon us. On Saturday 7 March, the stunning Peak District village of Hope will be home to some of the most stunning adventure films of the last year.
And, although HVAFF is a film festival, there’s a whole lot of adventure for all the family to join in with too.
Ease yourself into the day with a morning yoga class, or get off to a faster start with our 2k run run at 10am. There will be an olympic climbing competition, where you can try your hand at three disciplines of climbing: bouldering, speed climbing and top roping.
We've also the Derbyshire Caving Association fibreglass cave for the day. You can put on a headtorch and helmet and race through the twisted maze to see if you can get your name at the top of the leader board.
As if that wasn't enough, there will also be a short family-friendly orienteering course around the school grounds including a MAZE section to test your navigation skills, and the Leek & Buxton College mobile climbing tower outside the front of the school.
On top of all this, there will be a mountain biking course complete with bikes you can use, and adventure-themed library activities happening throughout the day.
Fell and Ultra runner extraordinaire Nicky Spinks will be joining us for the evening event to talk about The Barkley Marathons. If you'd like to order food to make an evening of it, pre-orders need to be made by midday tomorrow, Friday 28th Feb.

All money raised goes to the Hope Valley College Parents, Teachers & Friends Association. Please share this email with your friends and family and help us spread the word. The event is run by volunteers and relies on good will. Thanks!
See you there!
