Ethos and values
Bringing our voice to Chorus Education Trust
At Hope Valley College we have a commitment to the Chorus Education Trust ethos of Outstanding Achievement for All. This means we have the highest expectations of everyone in the school community and believe that, with the right support and with hard work, we are all capable of achieving incredible things that are way beyond expectations.
Our Hope Valley College ethos
Hope Valley College is a school with a long history of providing an education that is broad and challenging. Our curriculum is built to inspire and nurture every individual to be their best.
Hope Valley College prides itself on the wide range of opportunities we provide to our young people. We nurture, develop and stretch students’ talents and interests through our curriculum and our extracurricular activities.
- Our aim is to grow and develop enquiring minds and to encourage a life-long appreciation of independent thinking and learning.
- Our aim is to support both physical and mental health, emotional maturity, understanding and spiritual richness.
- Our aim is to grow leaders for the future; many of children and young people are already leaders, so we nurture these skills of leadership and service; celebrate kindness, and develop the five Rs: resilience, resourcefulness, being ready to learn, respect and reflectiveness.
- Our aim is to prepare our children and young people for their next steps into education, training and the world of work, to become the active citizens and self-sufficient adults that make the world a better place.
But above all, we want our children and young people to be happy and safe now and in the future.
