Student Leadership
Leadership allows young people to improve essential soft skills that will allow them to be effective members of any community, both within and beyond school. Importantly, as outlined by the Leadership Skills Foundation, some of these soft skills include:
- Independence.
- Effective communication.
- Problem solving.
We have a range of leadership opportunities at Hope Valley College that develop in complexity and responsibility as students become more mature and capable. This pathway also offers a breadth of subjects to ensure there is an opportunity for everyone. Young people are awarded different uniform items to acknowledge and reward their role as a responsible leader.
